P. Henderson and Co’s British and Burmese Steam Navigation Company was formed in the 1800s, and is probably better known as the "Paddy Henderson" Line. In 1952 the Glasgow based company became part of Elder Dempster Lines, and its K-boats became widely known. |

These details are an overview of the British and Burmese Steam Navigation Company ships operated by Elder Dempster Lines in the mid 1960s. It is not intended to be a definitive list, but rather an indication of the size and variety of the fleet and the names and classes of the ships.
Other British and Burmese Steam Navigation Company ships included the Prome and Salween (9,400 dwt), the Kalewa, Katha, Kanbe, and Kaladan (8,950 dwt), and the Kindat (9,000 dwt), which were sold in 1962/1963.
The tonnages given are deadweight. The actual figures varied even between ships of the same class so there has been some rounding up/down to ensure clarity in the table.
